Why Should I Pay for a Professional Videographer?
Consumer camcorders have improved greatly in the last few
years. Why not just have a friend or
family member videotape the wedding? Although they have improved greatly, consumer cameras still cannot match
the crisp colors and stunning images that are produced by our professional “3
chip” digital cameras. Also, consumer
cameras produce horrible video quality in low-light conditions, which is quite
typical at weddings and receptions.
Besides a high-quality image, there are other things that
set apart a professionally produced video. Most homemade videos fail due to poor audio, inadequate planning, shaky
images, insufficient battery capacity, and use of only one camera. Wireless microphones are essential to
capture the vows and other words clearly. Expensive “fluid head” tripods are required to produce smooth, steady
shots.
After the wedding is over, our work is just getting
started. We use state-of-the-art video
& audio editing equipment to turn the raw wedding footage into a keepsake
that is beautiful, interesting and can be treasured for years.
Weddings are a “Once in a lifetime” event. Trust it to people who are experienced at
doing this well, from planning to final editing, and have all the appropriate
equipment.
What Sets Paragon Apart From Other Videographers?
Since we record and edit all video and audio digitally,
there is no loss of quality that is so common with videographers who are still
using analog formats. And if you choose
the DVD option, your precious memories will remain in their clean, digital form
all the way to your home for you to enjoy for decades to come.
But it takes more than expensive, high-tech equipment to
make a great video production. Our
unique creativity, both behind the camera and later during editing is what
really sets our work apart from the rest.
How Much Will it Cost?
We have packages for just about every budget, from basic to
extravagant. Professional videography requires an investment equal to or
greater than that for your photographer. Keep in mind that producing a professional wedding video typically
requires from 10 to 40 hours of work in the editing room (depending on the
package purchased) before it’s finished.
A great wedding video isn’t expensive... It’s priceless!
How Far Will You Travel?
For our Gold and Diamond video packages, there is no
additional charge for destinations 150 miles or less from Topeka. For the Silver package, it’s 100 miles or
less. And for the Basic package, 50
miles or less. For each mile beyond the
package’s limit, there is an additional $1 charge (one time, not each way).
How Do I Reserve My Date?
The first step is to choose which of our wedding packages you prefer, and any
additional options you might wish to add.
We can consult with you if you need help deciding what services are
appropriate, or have questions or any special requests.
Next, print out our Wedding Video Agreement, fill it in and mail it to us,
along with a $250 deposit. This reserves your date(s). Be sure to read our Terms and Conditions.
Closer to the wedding date, we will need to visit with the
bride or other wedding planner(s), either in person or via phone, to discuss
the details of the wedding. Important
items will be worked out, such as when and where we need to be, location of our
camera(s) for the ceremony, special guests or family to be sure to record, and any other special instructions.
One half of the total package cost (less the initial $250 deposit) is due the day of the wedding,
with the balance due after delivery of the video package.
What If My Tape Gets Destroyed Or Lost?
Additional copies may be purchased at any time, as the digital masters are retained indefinitely.
Do You Have Any Special Offers?
If you prepay all fees by the wedding day, you’ll get an additional
two VHS tape copies or one additional DVD copy free!
